Effigy Consulting has developed an extension of the CEP Market dataset to provide Trade Lanes between 41 countries.

The resulting dataset provides import and export flows from/to a specific country towards/from the other 40 countries and ROW (rest of the world).

The Trade Flows data are available from 2015 to 2022 and can be broken down by recipient (B2B and B2C/C2X).

Note that the trade lanes are only available at country level (no carrier details) and in volume.

METHODOLODGY

Effigy Consulting data scientists have been able to estimate the parcel volume flows between the countries.

The methodology is based on the import and export parcel volumes of each of the 41 countries available in our CEP Market dataset combined with various sources such as e-shopper surveys, IPC, IMF, Eurostat, Carrier Annual Reports, news articles, etc.

Small Packet-Letters (light items operated through Mail networks) are included in the trade flow volumes as they represent a high percentage of the Chinese exports.
